The purpose of ”XN Mind&body™” is to encourage people to focus on mental health and self-love before physical appearance. By healing our relationship with food, finding a stress-free approach that works for us and enjoying the journey we can look and feel our best!
A good looking body does not necessarily come from healthy habits and a happy lifestyle. Unfortunately, in society appearance is what matters, and it has taught us that we need to look good whatever it takes; A fit body would come easier with a healthy mind. I’ve experienced myself that when we love ourselves, and when we have control of our minds, our bodies react positively. Self-love comes when we learn to connect with our true selves. Remember your ego is always trying to bring you down, but once you learn to listen your true-self, you immediately start making better decisions in every aspect of your life.
My Education & Career
My name is Martha Ximena Niembro; also known as ‘’Ximena Ni” and I am proudly Mexican. I am a Health and Wellness specialist and I am the owner of ‘’XN Mind & Body™.’’ I launched my business with the purpose of promoting mental health and self-acceptance because I want to encourage people to not only focus on their physical appearance but also on having a healthy mind and to identify the root causes of their health concerns rather than covering them up temporally; focusing in the connection of our minds and bodies is essential. I’ve been in the wellness industry for years and I started college at an early age, right after I quit figure skating. I started skating when I was ten, and since then I knew how much I loved being active. Unfortunately, I stopped skating and graduated from high school by doing homeschool, so I graduated sooner than expected. Thankfully, my past struggles (which I share on my first blog post, ”A Passion Turned Obsession”) took me into the right direction and ultimately made me discover my passion for Wellness. My career started in 2013 as an Integrative Nutrition Coach (IIN™). I did my training as a Health Coach in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (NY). Time after, I got my Personal Training and CPR certifications (ISSA/NASM) and started implementing exercise plans into my practice with clients. Later, I graduated from my Bachelor in Science and Nutrition. While working in my business, I completed different certifications such as: Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapist (EDIT™), Life Coach (LCI™), Sports Nutritionist, Holistic Nutritionist, Weight management and Wellness Consultant(AFPA™), Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (BECK Institute), Functional Medicine and Nutrition (IFM), Mental Health&Emotional Eating Specialist (ITN) and I am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND, USA).
My education and personal experiences have given me extensive knowledge in nutrition, fitness, wellness coaching, preventive health and a healthy mindset. I work with clients to help them make sustainable lifestyle changes and together we address concerns such as body image issues by using mind and body connection, intuitive eating, and cognitive behavioral principles. As a Coach, I help others understanding the importance of a nutritious diet for better health and the importance of a healthy relationship between our minds and bodies; there is no way to have a healthy body if one is not mentally healthy. I’ve worked with clients with different health/nutrition concerns, and we’ve found what works and what does not; we are all UNIQUE and what works for someone else might not work for us. I have in-person and online clients from all around the world, different ages, and I feel lucky to say that I always learn something new from each of my clients! I love my job and I now know that we all need to do what we love because doing what we LOVE feeds our soul!!!
”Fall in love with taking care of yourself. MIND.BODY.SPIRIT.”
