While I’ve learned to be waaay more flexible with my food choices, I also know that structure works for me (keeping in mind that there’s always room for flexibility). I’ve tried intuitive eating/not planning my meals and I tend to go to one extreme or the other (which causes me distress 🤷🏼♀️). What truly matters is focusing on the way your body reacts to certain foods! I feel energized, positive and at peace when I eat healthy balanced meals 🍉🍓🥑🥗 but I also enjoy having some not so healthy foods here and there. Balance is a daily practice; perfection is non attainable but staying mindful about what feels good and what works for us is REALISTIC. Something that was life-changing for me was to realize that not because someone else feels good without structure in their eating/daily life I have to work that way too because as I mentioned before we all have a different background, we all think differently and we all have a unique personality; we need to find what works for us because the way we feel in balance will never be like the way someone else feels in balance. I personally enjoy having structure in my life (not only in my food choices) and this could cause stress in someone else but for me it’s what works best and I’m sticking to it! There’s always room for improvement but always keep in mind how far you’ve come in your journey ❤️🙏🏻
